The dynamic audience consisted of Children from the 4th- 8th grade
We had loads of funnn learning basics of the Indian Sign Language, functioning of cells, skin cells, effect of melanin pigment on the skin colour and the absence of it. We also enjoyed an activity in which some of us were blindfolded and the other person had to guide. It was fun and gave children an idea about how they can orient persons with Vision impairment (blind).
Towards the end, they knew the sign for 26 alphabets, formation of words, salutations and also how the increase/ decrease/ loss in melanin effects the skin colour and also an idea of how to orient a person with Vision impairment (Blind).
It was a memorable learning experience for all of us…Yayy!! ?
- S. | Totally we were 44 of us, including 2 trainers & 2 volunteers with Vitiligo (SushAmita & Rekha)
Hearty thanks to Youth for Seva, for the opportunity ?
